Blizzard and Christmas! Part One

It has been a crazy week!! It all started this past Thursday, December 24th whenever we had a BLIZZARD! It was crazy and I was able to get lots of pics!

I taught Kayla how to make and throw a snowball and Kristi happened to be her first victim, Ha!

What the porch looked like at the end of the first night, Christmas Eve. Wowza! Notice the handle of one of the girls' riding toys. We got 14 inches in some spots and 19 inches in others!

The girls had a blast in it, but there was still trouble to come of it. Daniel had left early that morning for work and it wasn't doing much of anything, but much to his surprise, he was leaving early from work to get stuck in this crazy blizzard. He had a crazy few hours as he made his way from his work to the house. He fought the crazy snow, furious winds, and was even stuck in the front of a 40 car pile up! It was a VERY scary thing to hear on the other side of the phone, so I couldn't even imagine actually being there and going through it. He was hit 5 times in that mess, but made it home "safely" with minor personal kinks and just a few paint marks from the other cars! God was definitely watching over him that day! A Christmas Eve to remember, that's for sure!

Christmas!! Despite the crazy Blizzard outside, we still had a wonderful Christmas! The girls got lots of dishes and play food for their play kitchen, couldn't get them off it for a long while! LOL
